DUI

(States use different terms to describe the offense. “Driving under the influence” is probably the

most common, but many states also use the term DWI. "Driving while impaired" means you were found to be driving a motor vehicle with alcohol or other substances in your system, and what comes next – court hearings, driver license (DL) suspensions or revocations, IID program, school program, SR22, and more.

IID Program

Pursuant to state law, the DMV program requires that all repeat offenders and all injury involved drivers under the influence of alcohol or a combination of alcohol and drugs install an IID for a time period, depending on the number of prior DUI convictions. Offenders who install an IID may drive anytime or anywhere, as long as the vehicle is equipped with an IID.

IID Your Eligibility

If you meet all eligibility requirements, the DMV will place you on an IID restriction with unlimited driving privileges, as long as you drive a vehicle equipped with an IID. The courthouse may order you to install an IID with or without DMV requirement with the specific day of your eligibility and for the duration for which you will need it. Our certified agents will help you to find out your eligibility for the IID installation almost immediately, with no extra charge or obligation.

IID Installation

All official skilled technicians have been specially trained and certified to install an ignition interlock device. The technicians ensure that, not only is the device carefully installed and properly functioning, but also that your vehicle will not be impacted by the device once your IID requirements have been fulfilled and the device is removed.

IID. How it works?

The Breath Alcohol Ignition Interlock Device (BAIID), a small device with a single push button activation with no warm-up time needed, is always ready for use. It connects into the ignition of the vehicle that measures a user’s Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC). The BAIID prevents a vehicle’s engine from starting until the user takes the easy, routine test, taking a deep breath and blowing straight with steady volume for less than 5 seconds until the device clicks. The display will read the time countdown to start your vehicle. Blowing this way is less frustrating and more sanitary.

IID Random rolling re-test

The IID can be configured to issue retests periodically or randomly as mandated by your state; this occurs when a driver is randomly prompted to retake the BAIID breath test if the driver fails because the device detects a Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC) above the state’s designated limit; a violation will be recorded. However, for safety purposes, a failed random retest will not result in the car’s engine being shut off.

IID Maintenance & Calibration

The IID can be configured to periodically issue reminders for the next maintenance and calibration date , as mandated by your state  to download the data and ensure the device is measuring alcohol level accurately. Our service providers must notify the DMV if the device is removed, or if there is evidence that the driver attempted to remove, bypass, or tamper with it, or if the driver fails 3 or more times to comply with any requirements for the maintenance or calibration of the IID.
